4400 Abilities - Mutually Exclusive, Predetermined?
Here is something that has been bothering me. Are 4400 abilities (from 4400s or "extra crispies") mutually exclusive?
To date, we have not seen any ability duplicate itself. Each one has been completely unique. That seems to defy the laws of probability.
If the world population is over 6.6 billion and we have a 50% chance of getting an ability, then 3.3 billion people would get abilities and each of those abilities would be unique. That is 3.3 billion different abilities.
Is an abilitiy like a fingerprint? Completely unique, though it may share characteristics with other abilities. Like how Maia and Kyle both have abilities to foretell the future - though quite differently. 
If an abilitiy is like a fingerprint, how is it determined? Is it based on DNA? Social experiences? What determines an ability?
Some abilities are so closely tied to a person that you’d think there were a tie. Like Graham - the boy everyone overlooked becomes the boy everyone worships. But what about Jean Baker, whose ability released a plague? What part of her determined that ability?
Or, if abilities are not unique characteristics, is there an orchestrated plan to all of this? If the future is determining who gets what abilities, and in what order, what is their overall plan? Are the future factions fighting each other - is that why some abilities have disasterous characteristics, while others are harmless? Is this a flowing issue, with the future tweaking the abilities that get "assigned" based on how they foretell the future to be unfolding?
This all boils down to the fear that people have about 4400 abilities - where do they come from? And whose goals do they serve?

I Would have to go with the “abilities are so closely tied to a person ” idea ie:
Jean Baker thought she destroyed everything around her .
Alana probably lived in denial after her familys death.
Heather Toby was a teacher before her abduction.
As a baseball player you always try to read the body language of the pitcher …there mind even better!
Kyle wanted answer and a bigger reason for it all.
The little boy from fear it self had “freak-outs”
Trask hated the leader? of the marked and wanted revenge
even Jordans ability makes sense if he really believes its he who should bring people in to the new world with promicin so why not take it away as well . on a side note I still think he can do this with 4400’s as well why else would he not been afraid of isabell in terrible swift sword. Anyway maybe quantum physics + Promicin = The 4400
