The 4400 Favorite Episodes
Season 1, Episodes 1.01 and 1.02 - Pilot
This is a full two-hour episode, and it introduces us to the 4400 and the people who care for them. Shawn Farrell first realizes the potential danger of his ability when he gets into a fight with a school bully (not that I’d call it much of a fight). Maia’s ability of precognition is key, and later she begins to realize how much she scares everyone (including us!).

Season 1 Episode 1.05 -Trial By Fire
This episode features the beginnings of the ripple effect and sadly, the death of Mary Deneville. She has the ability to manipulate plant life. Marco Pacella and the NTAC Theory Room Scoobies begin to formulate the idea of the ripple effect. In spite of the Oliver Knox killings, you begin to see the beauty of which the 4400 is capable, if allowed to just live their lives.

Season 2 Episode 2.13 - Mommy’s Bosses
The reappearance of Jordan Collier at Highland Beach with amnesia is huge. We also see that Shawn is able to remove the entity from Kyle (the one that shot Jordan), and Richard Tyler realizes his own amazing ability of telekinesis.

Season 3 Episodes 3.01 and 3.02 - The New World
This was another full two hour episode. It features Dennis Ryland and others on trial for the inhibitor scandal. Mathew Ross explains to Isabelle her destiny. I seem to recall that Matthew slaps Isabelle after finding out she tries to kill herself.

Season 3 Episode 3.06 - Graduation Day
Members of the Nova Group attack Shawn by giving him some sort of delusions and making him schizophrenic. Isabelle, after killing Matthew, attacks the Nova Group by turning their own powers against them (kind of like when God punished the non-believers and sent the Angel of Death to kill every male firstborn, in effect turning their own plague against them).

Season 4 Episode 4.05 - Try the Pie
Kyle and Isabelle meet up with Jordan while he’s skinny-dipping. Tom shares a special bond after eating pie in the town of Evanston. I thought this was a great departure for Joel’s character because up until this point, he hadn’t had his own good first-hand experience with promicin (being haunted by the ghost of his dad, and doppleganged doesn’t count). This is also when Tom really starts to consider if Kyle is right about taking promicin, the White Light book, and everything.

Mine would have to be the two hour Season 3 premiere episode, and “Daddy’s Little Girl” from Season 4. I’m a Megaholic and I particularly loved the Isabelle character arc in those two episodes. Plus, the “Into the Fire” song sequence in the “The New World” was nothing short of fantastic.
I also really enjoyed the 4400 pilot episode. It was such a captivating storyline, and I loved seeing all the characters finding their footing among the chaos. It was very cool.
