Make Your Vote Count for The 4400
This is just a quick reminder to write to the USA Network and let them know how much you love The 4400, if you haven’t done so. We’d reported earlier this week that there was news on a production date, however, this has not been confirmed by the network either way. As one of our readers said in so many words, no news is good news:
USA Network
30 Rockefeller Plaza, 21st Floor
New York, NY 10112
The actors have said they don’t know if the show will be renewed, but they have expressed much positive love for a renewal when asked.

Also, if you look at the 23rd post on this page, you’ll find Amy Berg saying that Ira was misquoted in the LA Times article:

about one year ago, i’ve buyed the first season
on a thursday,
the saterday after that i crossed to the shop and got myself 2 and 3, i’ve downloaded the 4th season ’cause it wasn’t in the shop when it will be, i’ll buy it to, my girlfriend and i are realy addicted to the serie.
I’d say they have to make more seasons, otherwise we al need to stand up and use our own “Abilities” to make them doing it.

Writer and co-creator Scott Peters announced on December 18, 2007 that The 4400 had been canceled and would not be returning for fifth season. SciFi.com reports that fans of the show are mounting a campaign to resurrect the series: sending petitions and sunflower seeds to SciFi and USA Network president Bonnie Hammer.
I think i need to go and see a shrink….:(
It’s even on the Wiki…

I currently worked for Military Sealift Command on a MSC
ship, A co-worker told me about the show 4400 last year so
while on an overseas deployment I ordered the first three season of 4400 and love it. Since I work in Communications
I’ve played all 3 seasons of 4400 on our site TV movie channels the crew loves it…I’ve just ordered season 4 and
waiting for a final word on season 5.. I don’t get to watch
the show at home because I’m gone during the time it is aired. I also know of other crew members on other MSC ships that watch the show and friends back home and 4400
has been the topic of our conversation, to bring the show
back would be a very good thing. A lot of the fans are unsure why the show has been taken off USA network and hope that it comes back. Other shows that we get request to show a lot that has been taken off the air are Witchblade, Serenity/Firefly, Surface,The Unit just to name a few. Even though MSC, and Navy personnel are not able to watch to shows at home the DVD’s are purchased so that the crew can enjoy TV programs away from home, and it is most disappointing to watch one or two seasons of a show then it ends, so hopefully 4400 will come back.

Thanks guys! I hope the show comes back, especially for those like yourselves who don’t have a lot of choices on deployment. I come from a military family and background, so I know that the choices can be limited on deployments.
Sounds like you had a few sci-fi fans on your hands too, eh? I’m sure it was a treat for the crew.

I travel a lot, so I am not really around to watch things on Television, but having purchased and watched all the DVD’s of the 4400 Season 1-3 and having watched the downloaded amazing Season 4, I have been totally blown away by this series, and of course, I want to see more, if not two more seasons, at least one more season where they really wrap everything up. The writing of this show is totally stellar, and the actors are also all really talented and amazing. I like the intelligence and the politics of the show, the really cool message and the rich, deeply involving story lines, some which wrapped up nice and neatly with the last season, but posing additional questions which really must be answered. I dont get to watch television when I am abroad, not even the internet- broadcast shows are available to me when I am in Europe, so I have to wait a whole year for the new season to come out. Actually I do prefer it this way, as I get to skip the commercials–But yes, please bring the show back. The stupid shows on USA now are joke, this show gave USA some class–as you can see, they still have not stopped showing reruns of the show on USA, people are still watching the show and it still gets ratings and viewings, so what does that tell you? This show is a cult classic hit, and its word of mouth status gives it a sort of power the present lineup of USA shows just can’t match. Its almost June as I write this, and I am really wondering since I havent heard anything except that USA has definitely fired Rene Echevaria in its trimming down of company staff, I was wondering if anyone had heard anything else, and if good news here really is no news?

Finnegan, thanks for your comments. I wish there was good news, but for now it seems there is none, except for the awesome fans who’ve been getting together to save the show.
They’re currently putting together a press kit and sending it to 44 influential media folks, and I know they need help.

Tell me what they need, exactly, and what it is that I can do to help, if my help is needed, and if my efforts will matter–I reluctantly volunteer myself completely I am frustrated at the way USA is still coasting off the reruns, those SOB”S, and I want to do something that will matter and be effective, without wasting my time. I would definitely find it time well spent to employ those actors and writer Rene Echevarria again, at least for another two seasons.

For the past 14 months I have been overseas in Iraqi Freedom watching the first 3 seasons of the 4400 and have grown fun of the cast that has brought everyday people with an extraodinary ability. Recently I purchased season 4 of the 4400 and was overwhelmed with how much the cast has grown together in making a sci-fi production with a mix of everyday people that are just trying to bring peace to a world with many differences. This show has flowed, and deserves another two years on the USA network.

I can not believe that this show is being cancelled in midstream. This is a excellent show with a wonderful story line. I enjoy it, I have watched it from the beginning. Every Sunday my honey and I would make sure we were home in time to catch the show. I own the DVD of the show. If you have to cancell it at least end the story lines don’t just leave all these loose ends hanging. If you’ve watched the show I don’t think you would have been so quick to let it go. Thsi show should be renewed or at least ended properly, It ’s ashamed to learn that the USA staff don’t watch their own shows just the ratings.

The 4400 taps into everyones dream of having superpowers. I like the way that Jordan leads humanity into a new era. I’m hoping for season 5 to come out. The writers did a great job.

I have heard they aren’t doing another series as the ratings aren’t expected to be high enough. I think this is truly a crime.
At least lets have a feature length episode to finish the story off.

oh, and i will be re watching the whole of series 1-4 as its been a while now…….gimme funding and i will make series 5 myself!!!!

Wow, J, when you said that about doing the series yourself with the right funding, it gave me a flash of the chills. It really Inspires me to hear you speak like that. And, I actually think if much more of us fans on here thought more like this, it actually could be done!
I think that’s actually a brilliant idea! Independent funding for the purposes and intent of doing a final 13 Episode Season of The 4400! The Problem seems to be right now, if any of you can read between the lines, with the passing of the previous strike, and the potential for another, Hollywood and all the major TV Studios are being extremely conservative about what they are funding. I wish I could do something to help this cause, together the necessary funds to pay all the actors, the line producer, and most importantly, the writers and creators of this wonderful show. I think its really major bad priorities that crappy shows are continuing with a stay of execution, regularly being aired and getting so called acceptable ratings, making television now just about the dullest and lamest its been years.
What can be done realistically to Bring Back the 4400? If we could just stretch out minds here a sec, and imagine this were possible, how much money to budget such are we actually looking at to make this happen?
(I for one, would volunteer myself free of charge to see this happen, in any way I was useful, as my a sign of my respect and love for the cause)
Respectfully Awaiting Some Feedback on This
