Chad Faust and Descent Movie Soundtrack
Seems there’s more actor movie news afoot for our 4400 stars. Chad Faust’s intense movie Descent is scheduled to get a soundtrack just as engaging, thanks to Alex Moulton, creative director and composer of Expansion Team, a company which specializes in music branding. Based on the premise of the movie, I suspect it would be somewhat of an adventure to create a soundtrack.
Alex talked extensively with the director Talia Lugacy and Rosario Dawson (star and producer of the movie) and was 
able to capture the mood of the film, particularly the extraordinary final scene. Here’s a snippet of Alex’s comments about his process of creating the soundtrack:
“The most challenging part of this project was repeatedly gearing myself up to think my way into this character,” he says. “I can only imagine what that process was like for Rosario and Talia. When it came to the final climactic scene, I felt a great deal of pressure to heighten the intensity of an already extreme film. I wish there were more projects like this one. It took risks at every turn, and Talia and Rosario had the creative courage to put everything they had into that risk. It was an amazing experience.”
(As an aside, I particularly enjoyed Expansion Team’s Reel which features some amazing work you’ve probably seen around the networks already.)
After all I’ve heard about the movie, I’ll have to see it for myself. The release date for the soundtrack is unknown at this time. Descent is playing in select cities, and is scheduled for DVD release in early 2008.

excellent but very disturbing movie.the soundtrack is awesome, thumbs up all round!!!
