The 4400 Season 4 DVD: Sneak Peek of "Extras"

by Alexandra on May 6th, 2008

With the release of the Season 4 DVD of The 4400 comes new excitement about the series! Keep reading and you’ll see some video of amazing behind-the-scenes action, and commentary that will excite and maybe depress you at the same time. Why do I say that?

Well, Ira Steven Behr says all the questions have been answered in Season 4, and I know many of you disagree with that, and want more of the story. You can purchase the The 4400 Season 4 DVD at Amazon for only $24.99. In the meantime, listen to Craig Sweeny, Ira, Joel Gretsch, Jacqueline McKenzie, Jenni Baird, Richard Kahan and Billy Campbell talk about Season 4 in this short video.

There are some interesting comments, and reviews at Amazon about the DVD, and the show in general. The comments include possible reasons why the show was not picked back up for a 5th season by the USA Network, but the bottom line is that fans are happy (at least) to have Season 4 in their hands.

I still haven’t watched the finale. I’ve preordered the DVD, but could you tell me how many audio commentaries there are? Are there 2?

Yes, it has 2 audio commentaries, 2 featurettes, one blooper reel, and a Directors cut of the *season* finale episode. ;)

In my opinon this DVD is not as good as I hoped it would be. It is obvious the producers knew it was the end and there was only word from Scott Peters and though I love him, not enough inside information to make it worth while.

I had higher hopes for this DVD and sadly, it didn’t live up to them. I love this show but I can’t help to think it was a little ambitious for 13 episodes a year. With all of that story you needed the full 22 and to run in the same fashion as the shows on the major networks.
